Lindy’s Blog: Where Mom is Always Right

About this blog…

dsc04588-3I’m living the good life with my husband and three kids.  My days consist of cleaning, doing laundry, making the odd meal, changing diapers, and losing my mind on a daily basis, which is one reason I decided to start a blog.  Everybody and their damned dog has one, I might as well add to that rank.

I ultimately strive to seek Truth (in an age that doesn’t believe it exists) and not to lose sight of it by being ideological.  And maybe someone who stumbles upon this random collection of thoughts can help me along.

Please don’t let the blog title trip you up; it is tongue-in-cheek.  This is a conservative blog, after all.  I’m not usually “left”; therefore I’m “right”.  As for the other meaning of right:  I am often not it.  And I depend upon the beloved readers of this blog to hold me accountable.  Thank you.

Don’t be surprised to find lots of “mom” talk, along with a nice peppering of politics and religion.  After all, a blog about flowers and cookie recipes is nice, but not all that engaging.  Wouldn’t you agree?

Note:  Pretty much everything I write about on this blog is political in nature.  If I have ever had a personal conversation with you of a political nature, and then go on to write about the topic at some point in my daily musings, and especially if we have been in disagreement, know that it’s not about you.  I would never have the bad manners to detail such a conversation to the world, and would especially never name names.

I value the relationships I have, and respect those relationships, even if we may never agree upon something.

  1. Lindy, your discription sounds like my life a few years ago when my kids were your kids age growing up in the sandhills of Nebraska. Great memories, priceless!! Enjoy it all…..I’ll enjoy checking in on your thoughts occasionally.

  2. I look forward to more of your outspoken posts… 😆

Speaking of recipes…I’ve just finished writing about some more tasty bites, most are quick-n-easy and can be done in 15 minutes. For a mom with a family that needs fast, healthy, filling food that’s great tasting this should appeal to you (for the Health conscious there’s Salads and Seafood, for the sweet-tooth there’s Dessert…and lots more).

Please check it out, and comment on what you think. Thanks, I appreciate it.

  4. Thank you for your good work. My country Tibet was destroyed by China based on philosophy very similar to Barack Obama. Please save America. There is no place else to go.

  5. Hi Lindy,
I saw that you visited my blog, so I decided to check out yours. We sound a lot alike so we’ll have to try to get each other through the next 4 years and hope Obama doesn’t ruin our country!

  6. Something to read to your children, after putting the last piece of “government-issued” wood on the fire.

  7. Hi ~

My new web page is highlighted by a book by Dennis Prager, inspired by his July 3rd column of two years ago.

FLAKJACKETBOOKS.COM ships books to our soldiers overseas and stateside FREE OF CHARGE.

It is financed through the sales of these 10 books to the general public.

I would be grateful if you could link my site at yours – after checking it out, of course.

    Sincerely yours,

    Debary, Florida

  8. Lindy,

I continue to be regularly impressed by your insight. Are you employed to do this? My boss does a great job, too. 🙂 Blessings,

  9. Thanks, that was a fantastic post. I was actually just surfing the web for job openings and stumbled upon your website. I’m easily distracted. Maybe that’s why I’m unemployed. 🙂 I’ll be sure to check out more of your website.
