Get on the horn, patriots.

I do realize my posts generally run long, and for that I apologize.  I’ll try to keep this short and to the point.

Item 1) The spendulus plan passed yesterday in the Senate.  Now it’s on the the Senate/House committee to be worked out and compromised upon (if this is even possible.)  Then it’ll go back for a final vote.  There’s still time to get on the horn to your representatives and demand that they get rid of the pork and all the big-brother-like, hidden provisions in it that will further erode our freedom and autonomy.  (Better yet, tell them not to vote for it.)   Ask them if they’ve read this thing in its entirety.  It’s behemoth.  I’ll spare you the description of how much a trillion actually is, but ask yourselves and your representatives some questions.  It’s time to be skeptical.  Why, if only 10% of the newly-printed money will actually be spent this year, does it need to be so urgently passed?  What ELSE is in the bill that the Democrats and Obama don’t want us to know about until it’s passed?  Call, call, call.

Item 2)  Where on earth is Obama during all this?  Why, he’s still on the campaign trail, trying to drum up support for this thing.  Leadership?  What leadership?

Item 3)  The market dropped over 300 points yesterday, the same day that the spendulus passed in the Senate.  Hmm…

Item 4)  Have a great day and keep fighting the good fight.  Remember what they say about the squeaky wheel…

  1. The differences between the Senate’s version and the House’s version of the Economic Stimulus Package are different; personally I’d like to see the House’s version approved for the President’s signature.
