So says Michelle Malkin at the end of her column entitled, The Left Declares War on Joe the Plumber.
Malkin: “Wurzelbacher, in case you’ve been in hibernation, is the small-business man from Ohio who questioned Obama about his tax plan during a Toledo campaign swing last weekend. The revealing exchange was caught on tape and broadcast widely across the Internet and TV airwaves.
In response to Wurzelbacher’s question about why he should be taxed more and more for fulfilling the American dream,’ Obama sermonized that he needed to ‘spread the wealth around’ because ‘it’s good for everybody.’ ”
Poor guy. All he does is simply ask a VERY good question of Barack Obama, (that someone, preferably in the media, should’ve asked a long time ago), and he gets skewered for it. The media is frantically trying to dig up all the dirt on this guy and try to discredit him. Why, you’re asking? Most of us average Americans–who happen to identify with Joe the Plumber–are asking the same question. What did the guy do wrong to want to know if his taxes would be raised according to Obama’s tax plan?
Well, it has less to do with Joe and more to do with Obama and his Marxist retort to Joe: “We’re going to spread your wealth around.” This little phrase is proving not too popular with a great many Americans, and Obama’s team is trying to divert attention away from his little socialist schemes by subjecting Joe to the public pillory. Nice.
Funny, we now know more about Joe the Plumber from Ohio than we know about Barack Obama! It took less than 24 hours after Joe’s question for the media to dig up every detail of his life—(his real name is Samuel, his MIDDLE name is Joe!!)—but we’ve YET to hear from them more details about William Ayers and Rev. Wright.
Keep this in mind: Even if it has been found out that Joe from Ohio doesn’t actually make 250,000, what does that have anything to do with Obama’s answer? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. The answer is the same: Obama is going to ascribe to the socialist plan of taking one person’s hard-earned money and giving it to someone else. So much for freedom and the American dream.
Here is the party of “the little guy,” right? I don’t think so. Not with the way they’re handling Joe. The message is coming through loud and clear: Don’t be stupid enough to question Barack Obama, or else. And here I thought that was one of the things that makes America great: the questioning and holding accountable the leaders WE ELECT. Obama, with the liberal media’s help, will put us in our place.
Uwe Kiefer put it quite nicely: “[It’s] really sad when a regular, private citizen exercising his right to question his leaders is rewarded by having his private life barfed up all over the MSM, his integrity and honour made the issue instead of the policy of the would be ruler.
And Sarah Palin, with Trig in tow, made a quick stop at an Ohio Walmart for diapers. She reportedly even bought the Parent’s Choice off-brand. She is the real deal: The difference between claiming to be “for the common man,” and actually being the common man. In the news, “Obama bitterly criticized ‘white folks’ greed … where cruise ships throw away more food in a day than most residents of Port-au-Prince see in a year.’ Yet the Obamas feasted on champagne, lobster, and imported caviar at the Waldorf. These are the friends of the common people, like you.”
Okay, I have readers of all political stripes. Perhaps surprising, given my clearly conservative bent, but many just can’t seem to get enough of me! They simply have to read my posts, and often feel the need to make snarky little comments. That’s okay, perhaps eventually something will start getting through to them. But right now, I’m going to talk to my conservative readers.
Don’t despair! I realize all you’re hearing is about the landslide Obama victory coming in 17 days, but don’t believe the hype! This is still a close race, and no matter what Obama does, he cannot seem to close the deal. He’s never gotten over 50. Today’s AP poll is a statistical tie, with Obama at 44, McCain 42. The race is tightening. So the worst case scenario, the scenario that the msm is hoping to create with all their “landslide” talk, is for McCain voters to stay at home on election day because they think it’s no use. Don’t do that. Take heart, and read this.
