Intimidation by Obamanation

The Obama police are out in full force, trying to suppress free speech by using scare tactics and intimidation.  No, of course no one hears about this from the media sycophants—they want Obama to win.  They are part of the problem.  No journalistic objectivity here.

I just read an editorial by Mark Hillman over at (by the same name as this post.)  The lengths to which the Obama campaign is going to suppress his shady past—and to suppress those who would even simply question it—are great.  And the guy isn’t even president.  Just imagine, for a moment, what we who DARE to disagree with Obama are in for if he does become president?

Let me back up here.  What is going on, exactly?  Here are the facts (from Hillman’s article):

“Obama’s campaign has unleashed lawsuits and urged prosecution by no less than the Justice Department, enlisted elected officials to threaten and intimidate his foes, and deployed its vast internet e-mail list to silence bloggers and radio talk shows.

In Missouri, Obama allies, from a U.S. Senator to a local sheriff, threatened criminal proceedings against television stations that air anti-Obama commercials. Such ‘police state tactics’ prompted Gov. Matt Blunt to charge Obama’s campaign with ‘abusing the justice system and offices of public trust to silence political criticism.’ ”

“The Obama campaign also dispatched its thought police to silence the free speech rights of opponents on radio and internet.

First aimed at internet blogs supporting Hillary Clinton, Obama supporters swamp certain unfriendly blogs with ‘spam’ complaints. When those complaints reach a threshold, Google’s Blogger platform renders the blog inoperable. Bloggers must then wait for Google to make an individual determination whether or not each accused blog is legitimate.

A more sinister intimidation befell journalists probing Obama’s background in Chicago politics, as well as radio stations that provided a platform for those reports. The Chicago Tribune reported that Obama’s campaign used its database ‘listing contact information for millions of people’ not only for raising money but ‘to beat back media messages it does not like.’ ”

I’m sorry, but I find all of this terribly disturbing.  What is more disturbing, though, is that the people who usually credit themselves as the only ones who “care about free speech and rights” and such, are absolutely SILENT about these obvious encroachments.  I guess free speech is only granted to those with which you AGREE.  Now, if someone even made the suggestion—just hinted at—these types of measures being employed by the McCain campaign, imagine the frenzy that would ensue by the media.  That’s all we would hear about.  You know it’s true.  But Obama and his campaign know that they have anyone who would dare disagree with an Obama position by the ballocks.  They simply play the race card, and talk about the “latent racism that still plagues the US.”  How utterly ridiculous.

I’m not racist.  I have plenty of reasons that I don’t like Obama:  He’s an anti-life, pro-infanticide, radical left, terrorist befriending, inexperienced, socialist elite who would have our hard-earned tax dollars fund abortion (among other morally-bankrupt practices.)

And have you heard of Obama’s proposed “Civilian National Security Force”?   If you want to be disturbed even more, look it up.  He talked about it in a speech this July in Colorado:

“We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set,” he said. “We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded.”
Barack Obama Speech July 2, 2008 Colorado Springs, CO

Can anyone say “SS Guard”?  Mr. Obama, don’t we already have a national guard?  A civilian national security force?  Mr. Obama, don’t we already have a police force?  Mr. Obama, for what exactly do you plan on needing a civilian national security force?  Please explain.  We the people would like to know.

In fact, there are a number of things we the people would like to know about you and the policies you espouse.

In Ohio, while canvassing neighborhoods and encouraging voters to vote early, Obama was confronted by a plumber.  This was the exchange:

“Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn’t it?” the plumber asked, complaining that he was being taxed “more and more for fulfilling the American dream.”

“It’s not that I want to punish your success. I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they’ve got a chance for success too,” Obama responded. “My attitude is that if the economy’s good for folks from the bottom up, it’s gonna be good for everybody … I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.”

Well, gee, that sounds pretty good—to a MARXIST!  To someone who doesn’t understand basic economics!  To someone who doesn’t understand HISTORY!

Mr. Obama wants “income redistribution.”  This is a textbook socialist policy.  This renders individualism–what has made this country a great success story—worthless.  This absolutely cripples incentive.  Why woud anyone work hard if they knew that most of the money they worked hard to earn will be given to someone else—perhaps even someone who lays around all day and expects such a handout?  Where’s the motivation to succeed?  Where’s the motivation to create?  Where’s the motivation for ingenuity and entrepeneurship?  It is gone.

There are people in this country who truly cannot care for themselves.  And our great country has all it needs to take care of them.  Americans are by far the most generous nation in the world, when you look at the numbers.  Look at our charities.  They are superb.  Our churches are doing their part to help as well.

Given Mr. Obama’s various ties to prominent Marxists, the very least he could do at this point is to not hide what is so blatantly obvious.  Just come out and admit it, already.  You’re a socialist.  You want American individualism obliterated.  That is the bottom line.

  1. Great information. Scary information.

  2. What is disturbing is that I have been drawing the SAME EXACT frightening conclusions as yourself from all the research I have been doing. I started this election as an independent. Now I am completely aghast and horrified at Obama’s candidacy. I cannot believe that there are so many unanswered questions about him. BTW Google Obama and Odinga (kenya’s PM) – this is also chilling…
